In reading a summary of prescriptions filled during May 2018 I could see that Silverscript did not pay anything for medications prescribed that were on their formulary. I called Silverscript and learned a disturbing fact.

Silverscript (owned by CVS Caremark) had negotiated the cost of the medication down significantly. It is their position that the negotiation saving me money (not really, that is what I pay them for each month) constitutes a "payment." The lawyers put in a little overtime figuring out how to rip off older consumers on this one.

I have figured out that I am actually paying more for Silverscript (lower premium but higher out of pocket cost) than if I had chosen another Part D carrier. I will correct that very soon.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $100.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
